Dress Form Door Stop

Hope everyone is humming along with their spring projects, gardening, crafting etc. I know a lot of folks even like to update their wardrobes for spring. Now while I don’t make clothing, I think dress forms are super cool. During spring when the weather is so nice here in Texas, I usually keep the doors open to let the sunshine and warm breezes in. Of course the wind tends to try to close the doors on me.

This little weighted dress form door stop is the perfect solution. It is weighted with rocks inside and stitched up with Love my Fabrics Camellia line. I simply took the shape of a dress form and stitched around it, stuffed and weighted it and closed it up. Then I added a little belt out of the coordinating fabric. I love spring and spring projects and am looking forward to sharing more ideas with you as spring turns into summer.

Spring Mini Quilt

Tabatha here again with another fun spring project. Now that winter has released its grip on us and spring is in full swing here, I decided it was time to update the porch.  I put away the snowman banner and decorations and then needed to make a new banner for the new season.
I chose Love My Fabric’s Camellia line once again for this mini quilt. I paired it with some random fuchsia hexagons that I had in my stash and a banner was born.

I hope you are enjoying my projects. Be sure to watch for April’s projects I will be sharing a baby quilt called “Here Fishy Fishy” based on Love My Fabric’s Snorkeling and Camping collections, as well as another small Camellia collection project! Happy Sewing, Tabatha

Flower Pin Cushion

Hey everyone, Tabatha here!

Spring in Texas always brings a plethora of wildflowers so I thought I’d make a wildflower project to celebrate the return of spring, even as the last of winter lingers on.

I was pinning a quilt to my long arm the other day and thinking I really needed a pin cushion that I could wear on my wrist for convenience. So that is exactly what I made.

First,  I took the green leafy print from the Camellia fabric collection from Love My Fabrics and cut out leaves, then made a “flower” center from the floral print from the same collection. A little stuffing and some elastic and presto! A pretty flower pin cushion for my wrist.
