Tabatha, here with April’s project “Here Fishy Fishy”.
I’ve been working with our local chapter of Project Linus making kid’s quilts since January of this year. One of my new year’s resolutions is to do more charity sewing. Children, both boys and girls love handmade quilts!
However, since I raised 2 daughters, I find myself gravitating towards pinks, purples and other “brights” as opposed to blues or more boyish toned colors and themes. So when it came time to pick fabrics, I had asked for some collections from Love My Fabrics that had blues as I wanted to make a “boy” themed quilt to donate to my Project Linus group, I am branching out here : )
I used the Snorkeling and Camping fabric lines for this quilt. It required 6 fat quarters. You can find the FREE tutorial and pattern here Fat Quarter Baby Quilt. The two lines of fabrics coordinated really well for this project, blending seamlessly. I admit, I really swooned over that shimmery, silver, star print!
I was overjoyed with how well this quilt turned out. It was easy and quick to make. The original pattern finishes at 34” by 42” which is a good size for a baby quilt. However, I needed to add an outside border in order to make it large enough to donate to Project Linus. So, as you are reading this post today, I am sewing along with the ladies in Fort Worth making quilts for the kids. Hopefully you will be inspired to go get yourself some of this gorgeous fabric and whip up a quilt or two, maybe even one for your favorite charity. Happy Quilting!

Spring Mini Quilt
Tabatha here again with another fun spring project. Now that winter has released its grip on us and spring is in full swing here, I decided it was time to update the porch. I put away the snowman banner and decorations and then needed to make a new banner for the new season.
I chose Love My Fabric’s Camellia line once again for this mini quilt. I paired it with some random fuchsia hexagons that I had in my stash and a banner was born. I hope you are enjoying my projects. Be sure to watch for April’s projects I will be sharing a baby quilt called “Here Fishy Fishy” based on Love My Fabric’s Snorkeling and Camping collections, as well as another small Camellia collection project! Happy Sewing, Tabatha

Squarely Quilted
I am so in love with these new fabrics from Love My Fabrics. I whipped up this quick quilt in a weekend using this gorgeous grey, navy and bright yellow coordinating fabric. The pattern is called Little P Though the Looking Glass by It's Sew Emma. Be sure to check out the Love My Fabrics store and sister Love My Tapes store on Etsy. The quilting was done by Quilts Everlasting. Debbie is fabulous and does such a wonderful job. Use my name if you send anything her way to be quilted.

Winter Fox Projects
Hey everyone, Katie here. I just got back from CHA, the big craft and hobby association mega show in Anaheim, California. It was my first time going, and it was such a neat show! I came back with lots of inspiration to make things.
Today I wanted to share these simple stitched projects I made with our Winter Fox fabric and the Botanic Garden Chevron fabric.
First, I made a few different pencil bags. I love bags about this size, they can be used for holding pencils, makeup, business cards... pretty much whatever! If you want to know how to make bags like these, I've got a tutorial for an easy zippered bag on my blog.
I had a few more small squares of fox fabric after making the bags so I decided not to waste them (they are way to cute to waste!), and instead stitched up this mini quilt. It's very basic, just squares stitched together.
Do you like the fox trend? I sure do! Also, did you see the cute winter fox banner that Candy made?
