Sew Luv Strip'n Back Pack

Hey guys, Katie here! Today I wanted to share with you this backpack I made for my Mom, Tabatha (who is also on the LMF design team!). She had this fabric "license plate" she's been wanting to use, but hasn't yet so she picked out these cute Love My Fabrics fabrics, and I stitched up this fun backpack.

We picked out some fabrics from the Deer collection, the Thank You collection and the Walk through the Forest collection.

I've posted a tutorial on how to make a drawstring backpack on my blog, which you can find here.
I felt the bag needed a little extra embellishment, so I added a strip of lace tape from Love my Tapes underneath the license plate.

Thanks for stopping by! -Katie and Tabatha

Walk through the Forest Bear Bag

Hey guys, Katie here! Today I wanted to share this "Bear Bag" that I made using the Walk through the Forest collection. I *love* this bear fabric. I think it's just so very adorable.

I'm making a trip to Colorado soon, and I love using little bags like this to hold things (phone, kindle, etc) when I travel. I thought the bear theme would be perfect for Colorado.

I wanted to add a pop of contrasting color, so I used a mint colored zipper and I also added some lace tape by Love My Tapes along the top edge of the bag.

Save those fabric scraps!

Hey everyone, Katie here!

Today I wanted to share this cute hello card I made as well as a little tip. When you make projects you always end up with a few scraps that aren't big enough for most sewing projects, right? Well, (assuming they aren't teeny tiny) don't throw them away! You can cut them into strips and use them to make fabric tape!

I used some scraps of the pink flower fabric from the Air in the Forest collection (I used it to make this elephant softie), You can find the Love My Fabrics in our etsy shop!

It's super easy to turn your scraps into tape:
Just cut them into small strips, and place a piece on double stick tape on the backs of them.

On my card, I also used some lace tape and washi tapes by Love my Tapes (sister company to Love my Fabrics.

If you don't want to bother with saving up your fabric scraps to make tape though, Love my Tapes does sell Fabric Tapes in the same patterns as their fabric! You can find those here.

Design Team Call for Love My Fabrics

This call is extended to November 15th
Welcome to a brand new company looking for our 1st Design Team.
You may of heard of our sister company "Love My Tapes."  Love My Tapes is know for washi, fabric, and lace tapes.

Love My Fabrics will be known for our unbelievably beautiful fabrics.

In order to get started showing off many of our collections and patterns we would like to have a design team call.  Something that will set our call off from the rest is that we want to start out with 27 Designers.  We are hoping to have a wide variety of sewing, quilting, and paper craft designers join our team.  We are also looking at designers that might be interested in getting our fabrics into their own local Fabric stores.  Designers have an opportunity to earn income by adding new accounts to our list.  So this design team can really pay off.

We are looking for 10 Quilters, 10 for Sewing, and 7 for the Paper Crafts/ Mixed Media team.

Here is just a sample of a couple collections.

Voyage Collection

Maze Collection
Alley Collection

Daily Christmas Collection

Buddy Collection

Camellia Collection

Here is our Design Team Call.
We are sure there will be more questions, please email any questions to kimberlylovemyfabrics@gmail.com

Leave us a comment letting us know which of those collection is your favorite.
Have a great Day!  Sew something special!
I love forward to seeing all the applications coming in!
